Site supervision for the restoration of the fortress and new utility networks, in the Gran Sasso National Park.
Standing at around 1,460 metres in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, Rocca Calascio is one of Italy’s best-known mountain-top castles.
The studio is supervising the works, which are organised in two lots: the restoration of the fortress together with new energy and utility networks, and the archaeological excavations. It is a complex site—fragile and heavily visited—requiring constant coordination between contractor, contracting authority and heritage authorities.
